"Decided to go with OEM over the knock off brands and this ice maker started producing ice very quickly, now we have enough ice to last thru these hot summer days without having to keep buying a bag of ice from the store. Easy install, plugged right in to existing harness."
4317943 whirlpool fcp refrigerator ice maker ap2984633 ps358591 buyers from mccombssupply.com say... "As I was checking the mail today, I found a package in the box. My new Whirlpool ice maker had arrived. I unplugged the refrig and took the upper self and ice bin out. I took out the three screws holding old ice maker and let the unit lie down on some frozen steaks. With the control wires still attached, I could see I would have to use the old wiring. So I detached the old plug from the back of the timer/control block. With unit free I replaced the control plug and put the three screws back in, attached the bin level control arm. I closed the door and plugged it back in and after two days the ice pin is full. About 35 minutes total install time....Great job..saved $300"
